DIGITAL CENTREPIECE – ULTRA STABLE – POWERHOUSE
The Carry On 64 is an highly portable, digital live audio workhorse, using ultra-dependable components, and super-stable drivers, all centred around our favourite interfaces from RME and Direct-Out. The system comes housed in a Peli Storm iM 2500 case with Gravity Rigs own Transit System and rack power distribution unit.
Designed for bi-directional audio flow, the Carry On 64 comes with A/B switching between computers plus added audio inputs for processing or recording. The 64 channel system can clock itself or be clocked via Word Clock, MADI or Dante plus 192Khz compatibility and MIDI over MADI function add to its plus points, making it an expansive high-fidelity choice for the biggest live shows.
We care about protection, so the Carry On 64 comes with our custom high-density foam lined Peli Storm iM 2500 case. The Carry On Transit System is designed to protect against any impacts to keep the 2U sleeve safe, with much thicker custom foam lining for shock protection than anything else on the market.
The combination of RME and DirectOut’s audio mastery and Gravity Rigs tour-proven build techniques, makes the Carry On 64 a digital power tool that’s right at home in a pro live audio environment.

A/B SWITCHING WITH DANTE OR MADI
The EXBOX.MD is our go-to DANTE and MADI Converter, with automatic or manual failover switching. Direct Out’s EXBOX.MD has a tour-proven reputation which is why it features so heavily in Gravity Rigs designs and broadcast environments.
Its small size makes it ideal for playback and performance systems that are limited on space (like Fly Rigs) and the dual PSU option available on the unit reflect the strong resilience ethos of the device. Many Gravity Rigs systems use the EXBOX.MD where A / B operation is the purpose of the rig, whether it's over MADI or Dante.
COMPACT MADI SYSTEM WITH SOLID DRIVERS
The RME MADIface USB is Gravity’s go-to, compact MADI interface. Its drivers are famously solid and keep working reliably even through macOS updates, which is far from guaranteed with many other audio interfaces. Its combination of robustness, price, tiny footprint and flexible I/O using Total Mix software, makes it an exceptional choice for playback and touring, which is why it features so heavily in Gravity Rigs.
VISIBLE SWITCHING
Compact, well‑built, innovative and highly dependable - the FRODES CNTRL SWITCH is used in this rig to give physical control and status visibility to the EXBOX.MD, which although being top tier audio equipment, actually has no visible indication of the A or B state, and was designed for auto switching or software control in mind
The FRODES CNTRL SWITCH provides an A or B status shown clearly by an LED, and its button can be used to manually switch audio seamlessly or to arm the switching for automated failover.
Once built and tested, everything is fixed down solidly so that nothing can move or detach in transit. The lid is easily removable with an included 2.5 hex key for inspection or modifications. Also within the Peli Storm iM 2500 case the interior storage space uses our custom foam design that can house 2 laptops, another unique and useful design feature.
