Digital Audio Matrix and Switch

The EXBOX.MD is Gravity’s go to DANTE and MADI Converter, with a multitude of features that make it an essential live choice for digital audio rigs.

MADI conversion between BNC and optical formats, coupled with DANTE compatibility allows the EXBOX.MD to sit at the heart of a digital audio system and distribute, switch and convert audio between formats effortlessly.

It’s the ideal choice for Live Playback and Audio delivery systems that require A / B operation, whilst the addition of the Frodes switch makes manual selection (and arming for automatic switching) , with A or B state LED a true reality, yet another useful redundancy feature.

Also the EXBOX.MD’s small size makes it ideal for playback and performance systems that are space demanding like fly rigs, plus the Dual PSU’s available on the unit also reflect the already strong redundancy ethos of the device. Direct Out’s tour proven reliability is echoed throughout the EXBOX.MDwhich is why it features so heavily in Gravity Rigs designs and broadcast environments.

EARS

Enhanced Automatic Redundancy Switching is a system to prevent interruption of the output signal. It uses either the proven BLDS technology or pilot tone triggering.

A logic monitors the condition of the trigger signal on the Dante input. In case of a failure it switches automatically to the backup input (Dante or MADI).


Built-in-switch

Four network ports are connected to an internal switch and give the opportunity to use Dante’s redundancy mode (Primary <> Secondary), while more EXBOX.MDs or other Dante devices can be connected in switched mode directly to increase the number of channels.


Remote Control

EXBOX.MD can be controlled by Audinate‘s remote software 'Dante Controller‘ and is 'Dante Domain Manager‘ ready.


Safe Operation

The device can be powered by up to two external power-supplies as well as PoE (Power over Ethernet).
